What is Podiatry?
Podiatry is an Allied Health profession dedicated to the diagnosis, treatment, prevention, and management of medical conditions and injuries of the foot, ankle and lower limb.
Podiatrists are highly skilled in treating complications affecting the foot and lower limb, including skin and nail disorders, corns, calluses and ingrown toenails.
Musculoskeletal foot injuries in all age groups, diabetic wounds and arthritic foot disorders are also diagnosed and treated by podiatrists using a range of physical, electro therapeutic, surgical and orthotic modalities.
